This morning Mrs. Newlin’s class was talking about the Passover. They were learning about the bread that God’s people ate. Mrs. Newlin brought in examples of bread and told the child about yeast. Next, they did a fun experiment to see want yeast does. They took one cup of warm water, a packet of yeast and 1/4 cup of white sugar. The students learned about dissolving. The mixture was put into a clean clear soda bottle and a balloon was placed on top. The bottle was placed in a bowl filled with warm water. It was fun listening to the children as they observed the balloon slowly rising. They hypothesized what was happening and why. They talked about what might happened. Their little brains were going. Mrs. Newlin gave the brief explanation.
