Sensory Learning at Holy Cross

This past week our students used various tactile learning.Sensory play also contributes in crucial ways to brain development. Think of it as “food for the brain.” Stimulating the senses sends signals to children’s brains that help to strengthen neural pathways important for all types of learning.

Mrs. Pierce’s students wrote in shaving cream for the letter s.

Mrs. Newlin’s class learned through playing with rice.


Mrs. Boss’ class has been learning about Kansas’ facts. They made buffalo with coffee grounds.
